Peace Pentagon HUB Portal
HUBs are popping up all over the world to connect the millions of people who share an enlightened worldview. But time is of the essence: We need to organize quickly in order to address the many unprecedented challenges facing Humanity. Using Systems Theory Design, the Peace Pentagon HUB scans, maps, and connects evolutionary initiatives in each Sector of Society. Then, the HUB communicates these initiatives through the Sector pages (below), with a special emphasis on critical action events in and around the Nation’s Capital.
Sectors of Society: HUB Design and Navigation
Futurist Barbara Marx Hubbard Speaking at the Peace Pentagon
What Is Systems Theory?
The Peace Pentagon HUB is inspired by the life work of Barbara Marx Hubbard, who visited the Oracle Campus and shared her vision of the new world. Ms. Hubbard designed the original “Wheel of Co-Creation” in the 1970s. Today, the Wheel is a viral icon that is used by social architects, cultural creatives, non-profits, and businesses – all of whom understand the Wheel’s value in identifying the major Sectors of Society and the iterconnectedness of those Sectors.
The Sectors of Society is a Systems Theory approach to building the new world. Look carefully into the image and you will see a white web that links the Sectors. The web represents the concept of “tensegrity” pioneered by Buckminster Fuller, and it illustrates the organic connections among all the Sectors.
What Is Interdependence?
The Sector of Society image also illustrates the reality that all the Sectors are interdependent, interrelated, and inherently bonded together for maximum strength and resilience.
This cross-sector bond, when acknowledged and applied to the social sciences, leads to a non-linear understanding of humanity’s trajectory – a path with the potential for exponential growth in all Sectors of Society.
At the center of the graphic is the “HUB” – the creative space where the evolutionary impulse is the greatest and the potential for social synergy is the strongest. The HUB is where all aspects of life meet, merge, and unify!

Are You Operating in a Silo?
“The classical worldview was atomistic and individualistic; it viewed objects as separate from their environments and people as separate from each other and from their surroundings. The systems view perceives connections and communications between people, and between people and nature, and emphasizes community and integrity in both the natural and the human world.”
Many of us are working hard to build an advanced civilization for all of humanity, but we tend to operate only in our favorite Sector (i.e., in a “silo”). As a result, we don’t take the time – or have the time! – to keep abreast of exciting developments occurring in other Sectors that will enhance our creativity and social innovation.
Because the Peace Pentagon HUB incorporates a non-linear, integrative, and full-spectrum approach, the model fosters dynamic and exponential growth across all Sectors – making the HUB a central portal through which Members can quickly see what’s current and emerging within all Sectors of Society.
